The Sandhya Gatti Educators Trust (SGET) is a not-for-profit initiative established in 2018, aimed at developing, designing and implementing full-time and part time unique, certification programmes for teachers, in collaboration with high quality universities and educational institutions in India and the world. The aim is to create educators and learners for the world of the future.

We are in the middle of an education crisis. Growing education costs even in primary schooling, schools becoming more and more competitive and commercial, is creating more problems for the society rather than resolving them. To add to this, heavy teacher attrition in all schools, lack of passionate educators in the teaching profession, and minimal investment in professional development of teachers is driving us back in time instead of moving ahead. Schooling is merely an inescapable ritual than a life-changing process. Teachers are the catalysts of transformation. However, this role cannot be performed to the hilt unless, they are strongly equipped with the mindset and the ability to understand what education really means in the life of the young. Teachers have to let go of binding concepts like ‘teaching’ and ‘telling’ to make way for opening up pathways to learning. They have to act as signposts leading the young to become independent thinkers and self-reliant, holistic and socially productive individuals.

ideas and radical approach to leading life have transformed many teachers and educators
during her 30 years’ experience. She aspires to create a platform where teachers from all
across the world can come together as a community of reflective practitioners. She is the
Programme Leader for Cambridge International Certificate in Educational Leadership and
Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching and Learning.
Sandhya Gatti
Founder and Managing Trustee
BSc (Agriculture), MSc (Agriculture), PhD, the University of Leeds with over 18 years of
experience in Education, Teaching and Training. She is the founder and Head of School of
Saandeepani Academy of Excellence, Bangalore. At SEGT, she is involved as a consultant and
faulty for our programmes.
Prarthana Gupta
Trustee
M.Com (Taxation), Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Finance) and
Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching & Training with over 5 years of experience in
mentoring and training teachers. She is also the Programme Leader for the Cambridge
International Certificate in Teaching and Learning programme. She is responsible for the
operational aspects of SGET.varius metus pellentesque, quis elementum massa varius.
Susmita Shroff
Trustee
Shabari Rao is an arts educator with over 20 years of experience. She has taught in schools across the UK and India. She has designed and written curricula for creative movement in education for important educational organizations such as The Teacher Foundation (Bangalore) and Birla Eductech (Mumbai). She has extensive experience in teacher education as a facilitator and has presented her work in national and international conferences such as Dance Education for the 21st Century (Sydney, 2016) and National Conference for Early Education (New Delhi, 2018) among many others. She is passionate about using creative movement to enhance Social Emotional Learning as well as in curricular content. Shabari is also a practising artist.
Shabari holds a BA in Kathak and Choreography (Bangalore University), a Professional Diploma in Dance Studies (Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance, UK) and an MA in Dance and Education (Royal Academy of Dance, UK).
